Ememem, figlio dell’asfalto, la cui arte nasce su un marciapiede danneggiato nel 2016, ha il disordine che gli scorre nelle vene. Che lavori nell’ambito di eventi organizzati, o in incognito al chiaro di luna, Ememem ripara la strada e il cuore di chi la calpesta. Nel 2016 per dare un nome al suo stile e alla sua tecnica, inventa il termine «flacking», dal francese «flaque» (pozzanghera). Oggi flaking è comunemente usato in riferimento all’arte di “riparare i buchi”. I colori dei suoi interventi sui marciapiedi illuminano le ferite del tessuto urbano.
I suoi lavori si pongono a metà tra street art e arte contemporanea e, in parte, ricordano il tradizionale kintsugi giapponese, l’arte di riparare per sublimazione. In breve tempo le sue opere conquistano un vasto pubblico e iniziano le commissioni pubbliche (Centro di creazione Taverne Gutemberg, 2018; Galleria Italiana, Parigi, 2020, Società del Grand Paris, 2020 e 2021; Métropoli di Lione, 2022). In studio, Ememem crea anche repliche dei suoi cerotti da marciapiede, esposti in gallerie (ErbK Gallerie e Gallerie Italienne), fiere internazionali d’arte contemporanea (Paris Art Fair 2021, Urban Art Fair 2020), Mostra Personale a Lione (2020, 2019, 2018), e mostre collettive “Ceramic Now!” (Parigi, 2021), “Low Tech” Meyrin (Ginevra, 2021), “Nuart” (Stavanger, Norvegia, 2018).

Ememem, child of the streets, whose art was born amongst the crumbling sidewalks in 2016, has turmoil flowing through his veins. Whether it be in organized art shows or in the cover of night, Ememem heals the streets and the hearts of those who walk them.
In 2016, to give a name to his style and techniques, he invented the word “flacking” from the French word «flaque» (puddle). The term flacking is commonly used today to designate this new “art of repairing holes”.
The vibrant colors of his works on the sidewalks highlight wounds in the decaying city infrastructure. They are somewhere between street art and contemporary art while recalling the traditional Japanese art of kintsugi, the art of repairing while enhancing.
In his studio, Ememem creates replicas of the original sidewalk artworks, and they are exhibited in galleries and international contemporary art fairs. His works have been exhibited at the Paris Art Fair in the Galerie Italienne (Grand Palais éphémère, 2021), the Urban Art Fair in the ErbK Gallery (Paris, 2020), as a Solo Show in Lyon (2020, 2019, 2018) and as a collective exhibition at “Ceramic NOW!” (Paris, 2021), “Low Tech” Meyrin (Geneva, 2021), and “Nuart” (Stavanger, Norway,2018).
