Il regalo di Cristian e Victor – Cvtà Street Fest 2021
Il “vero” regalo di Cristian e Victor agli abitanti di Civitacampomarano.
Dovete sapere che la settimana scorsa, per qualche ora in due-tre giorni consecutivi, abbiamo perso di vista i due artisti spagnoli. Hanno girato per le viuzze del paese e volevano farci una sorpresa, da scoprire solo quando sarebbero andati via. Ma Civitacampomarano ha occhi dappertutto e una signora – tramite passaparola (qui funziona così!) – ci ha riferito di aver visto due ragazzi con pennelli e vernice nella parte vecchia e abbandonata del paese.
Ecco, Cristian e Victor stavano realizzando questo! Scorrendo le varie foto del festival e della memoria passata, si sono imbattuti in questa cornice in bianco e nero, familiare e spensierata: quattro ragazze sorridenti affacciate da una finestra. Hanno voluto far riaffiorare questa istantanea legata al passato, ma che si intreccia con il presente. Le due bambine più piccole, due sorelle, sono Maria e Graziella, una vive ancora a Civitacampomarano, l’altra si è trasferita a Roma. Nella capitale è andata a vivere anni fa anche Antonietta, mentre Giulia è emigrata in Argentina tra gli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta.
Quando ci siamo salutati, tutti con gli occhi lucidi, è anche per questo regalo qui. Cristian Blanxer e Victor Garcia Repo hanno davvero capito il valore unico di Cvtà. Eternamente grati.

The “real” gift of Cristian and Victor to the inhabitants of Civitacampomarano.
Last week, for a few hours in two or three consecutive days, we lost the two Spanish artists. They wanted to surprise us, a gift to be discovered only when they would go away. But Civitacampomarano has eyes everywhere and a old lady – (this is how it works here!) – told us she saw two boys with brushes and paint in the old and abandoned part of the town.
Here, Cristian and Victor were doing this! Scrolling through the various photos of the festival and of past memory, they saw this frame in black and white, familiar: four smiling girls looking out of a window. They wanted to bring back this picture linked to the past, but which is still link to the present. The two youngest girls, two sisters, are Maria and Graziella, one still lives in Civitacampomarano, the other has moved to Rome. Antonietta also went to live in the capital years ago, while Giulia emigrated to Argentina between the 1950s and 1960s.
When we said goodbye, all with shining eyes, it is also for this gift. Cristian Blanxer and Victor Garcia Repo really understood the unique value of Cvtà. Eternally grateful.
