Biancoshock A Via Nov

Biancoshock, A via Nov, Cvtà Street Fest 2020.

5.00 p.m.: the bus from Termoli to Campobasso goes through Civita and, in addition to the bustle of the town in the heart of the Festival, around the historic bench which represents a meeting point for the inhabitants and a center of an increasingly rare sociality, re-finds a bus shelter.

The meeting is far from obvious, it has been missing here for years, along with everything it symbolizes. The buses have always continued to stop, but officially the Civitacampomarano stop has been suppressed, along with its shelter.

Today the signal of Civita is ironic, creative and strong: it’s managed by the community, which once again reacts, working on the idea of Biancoshock.

The artist, looking on Google Street View for cues for a possible installation, finds an image of 2011 when the old structure was still there. It is not the picture which needs to be updated.

A-VIA-NOV, the “New Street”, was born today and they are the citizens who decide how.

The green color is the emblem’s one, of the municipality and its people, and in addition to the timetable of the routes, there is the map of the public transport network: the line of young people, that of adults and that of the elderly. Three routes for three generations of emotional transport that intersect forming the inscription CVTA.

The bus is late, but the new shelter is ready. Exchange of people. The bus departs from A-VIA-NOV, Civita also.
