ªFinalmente ci siamo: il festival si farà nonostante tutto.

I civitesi, presi dai preparativi, girano affaccendati tra i vicoli e le piazze: assistiamo al risveglio di un borgo assopito da mesi. Questa volta tutto è diverso. Gli artisti non sono potuti arrivare in paese incontrando gli abitanti, il luogo e traendo da questo dialogo le proprie opere.

No. Quest’anno, dopo settimane di incontri virtuali su Zoom, gli abitanti hanno dovuto fare da soli e seguendo le indicazioni date dagli artisti hanno realizzato l’idea creativa pensata a distanza dagli artisti per Civita.

In una comunità di poco più di 300 persone non c’è posto per i protagonismi, mentre c’è spazio per il bene comune. Ognuno, come può, si mette a disposizione per compiere ciò che c’è da fare che sia portare avanti le tradizioni locali antiche, come una processione religiosa, o più recenti, come partecipare attivamente all’attuazione del festival.

Il Cvtà Street Fest si è sempre distinto per l’interazione tra artisti e popolazione, frutto di un incontro e di uno scambio diretto. Protagonista indiscussa del 2020 è stata la voglia di partecipare e di ricreare momenti collettivi, dopo tanto isolamento.

Così grazie al tempo e alle abilità della gente, con coesione sinfonica, le opere della quinta edizione del Cvtà Street Fest hanno iniziato a prendere forma.

Remote Fest

Here we are, finally: despite all the festival is going to happen.

People from Civita, absorbed in the preparation works, are walking around squares and alleys: we are seeing the awakening of a borgo dormant for months.

This time everything is different. The artists won’t come in Civita meeting inhabitants, the place and drawing on this dialogue their own art works.

No. This year, after weeks of virtual Zoom meetings, people from Civita had to do it on their own and following the instruction gave from the artists they have tried to realize the creative idea thought by the artists for Civita.

In a comunity of just over 300 people there is no place for self-promotion while there is space for commonweal. People as best they can are made available to accomplish whatever there is to do, that is to carry on ancient local traditions, like religious procession, or newer, like been actively involved in festival implementetion.

Cvtà Street Fest has always stood out for its inhabitans-artists interaction, the result of a meeting  and a direct sharing. The absolute protagonist of 2020 has been the desire to partecipate and to re-create collective experiences after lockdown.

So people spent time and their abilities, like a unity symphonic, art works of the festival’s fifth edition have begun to be created.
